BANK of Zambia (BOZ) Governor Caleb Fundanga has said a Germany bank, BHF has shown interest in setting up base in Zambia to provide long term credit to business entities involved in the export and import of goods with the European country.
Speaking on the sidelines of the 2011 International Monetary Fund (IMF)/World Bank Spring meetings in Washington, Dr Fundanga said BHF Bank would provide finance to Zambia as well as German business entities involved in the export and import of goods to and from Germany.
Dr Fundanga said setting up of the bank in Zambia would provide an enormous opportunity for Zambian companies to access long term credit lines.
