THE African Development Bank (AfDB) will consider funding a railway line which is going to connect Zambia to the Port of Lobito in Angola.
The railway line will facilitate regional and international trade especially for bulk cargo such as copper whose production is projected to rise to more than a million tonnes by 2015.
Speaking when he met Zambia’s Finance and National Planning Minister Situmbeko Musokotwane in Washington DC, ADB president Donald Kaberuka said the project was key to ZambiaĆs economic development.
